The Central Coast Cancer Challenge is Back!

registration is open!

We’re getting pretty excited here as we near launch of the 5th Central Coast Cancer Challenge presented by Dignity Health/French Hospital Medical Center. Yes, it’s our 5th Anniversary! We’re coming up with many special ways we can all help the cancer patients and survivors in this community.

We’re bringing back the downtown SLO 5K and 10K course, adding a children’s “Rock Around the Block” race where you can dress up as your favorite 80’s Rock Star and looking to heat up the Monterey Mile where we will have competitive heats, as well as a family mile where all are welcome – individuals and family!

We are so grateful to we produce this race. It’s special to us. It launched RaceSLO.com. But most of all we have always wanted to make an impact in the community. To help those who hear those dreaded words, “You have cancer.”This race was established because we had family and friends who either had cancer, was a survivor or, unfortunately, lost their battle with the disease. The money we have raised with this race, $40,000 has helped many thru their cancer journey, whether providing a free fitness program, gas money to get to an appointment or counseling. We won’t stop raising awareness and money, because we are dedicated and determined to make a difference. Help us support these 3 worthy causes this year:

  • Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center
  • Cancer Well-fit
  • The Maureen “Mo” Clancy Memorial Track Scholarship
  • Learn more about all of our beneficiaries on their page on this website.
